Anya Volz is a New York City-based comic originally born in Vermont. People from all over America are describing her comedy as hilarious, and even not that preposterous. She has been a writer for Riot Festival's The Hard Times, MacaulayCulkin Bunny Ears and also a creator of content. She has been featured in BuzzFeed and Vulture and has also appeared at several National comedy festivals, including New York Comedy Festival and the Women in Comedy Festival. She hosts the Best Mistakes podcast with Brooklyn comedian Nika Lombazzo. She produced and hosted the pre-covid Our Time of the Week at The Stand Comedy Club main room as well as the weekly show Thirst Trap with Anya Volz which was hosted in legendary venues such as Union Hall Caveat and House of YES and has been covered in The New York Times and Time Out New York. The family was based at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria neighborhood of London. According to Taylor-Joy, the relocation was difficult and she decided to not learn English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands towards Hill House. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. She left school at the age of 16 to quit school in order to concentrate entirely on acting. Taylor-Joy has always known that she wanted to be an actress. The opportunity came when Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management provided Taylor-Joy with a modeling position.
